Milford Borough has a Poet Laureate — its first ever.
The laurel wreath has been placed (in a poetic sense) upon the head of Chuck O’Neil, a 40-year borough resident.
His tenure will last for two years. The position is not paid and non-political.
Bill Kiger brought a copy of O’Neil’s published poems for each member of the borough council at their Feb. 28 meeting.
Kiger told the councilmembers that O’Neil was the perfect person to hold the position.
