Three die in Greene Township car crash

GREENE TOWNSHIP — Three men were killed and one badly injured in a single-car accident in Greene Township on Sunday, Nov. 29.
According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police at Blooming Grove, Thomas James Howey, 49, of Easton, Pa., was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck south on Mozette Road when he "failed to negotiate a slight curve in the roadway and struck a tree" on the western shoulder of the road.
Howey sustained major bodily injuries and was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital at Cedar Crest. All three of his passengers were pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County coroner Kevin Stroyan. They are Barry Foose Jr., 46, of Easton, Pa.; Eric Dunbar, 38, of Roseto, Pa.; and Timothy Gerhard, 58, of Nazareth, Pa.
None of the four men were wearing seatbelts.
The car's airbags deployed during the crash. The car sustained major front and passenger-side damage.
The state police were assisted by area fire and EMS personnel.
The crash remains under investigation.
