Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp, announced the promotion of Manfred Brockmann of Milford, Pa. to First Senior Vice President — Chief Compliance Officer.
Brockmann joined Valley in 2004 and brings more than 29 years of experience to his current position.
As the Chief Compliance Officer, he is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Bank’s Regulatory Compliance Department to ensure that Valley is complying with all consumer compliance regulations. This includes the review of disclosures and advertisements for products and services, as well as ensuring that all of the Bank’s customers are treated in a fair and equitable manner.
“Manfred is an experienced, knowledgeable and committed Chief Compliance Officer,” remarked John Noonan, First Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. “Under his guidance, our Regulatory Compliance department ensures that the Bank’s activities comply with federal and state regulations to ensure our customers are treated fairly. Brockmann received a Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University. He has also earned certifications from the Institute of Certified Bankers, the Association of certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and the Bank Administration Institute. He serves on the New Jersey Bankers Compliance Committee.
Brockmann resides in Milford, Pa. and served as a Senior Vice President – Chief Compliance Officer prior to this promotion.
