Vanessa Paolella wins 'Believe and Achieve' scholarship

— Vanessa Paolella of Dingmans Ferry, a 2017 Delaware Valley High School graduate attending Bates College this fall, won a Cumberland Farms “Believe and Achieve”scholarship.
The program annually provides $1,000 scholarships to 130 eligible graduating high school seniors across its service area. This year $130,000 "Believe and Achieve" scholarships were awarded to only 8 in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, along with 48 students in Massachusetts, 24 in Florida, 11 in New York, 13 in New Hampshire, 12 in Connecticut, 5 in Maine, 6 in Vermont, and 3 in Rhode Island.
Since the launch of the program over a decade ago, the company has provided more than $1 million of financial assistance to over 1,100 college-bound young adults.
The program is open to students entering a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited college, university or vocational-technical school in the fall of 2017 who live within 30 miles of any Cumberland Farms store. Scholarships are awarded based on a student’s academic performance and financial need, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities such as community service and athletics.
