— There was standing room only at Milford Borough Hall Wednesday night, as residents packed in to hear the candidates running for mayor and borough council at a public forum held by The Pike County Courier.
With less than two weeks before the election, the two mayoral candidates and the four borough council candidates answered questions on a number of important issues to borough voters, from business retention and job creation, to police and emergency personnel services.
The Pike County Courier Editorial Board asked the candidates questions, some of which were submitted in advance by the public.
Running for mayor are Democrat Sean Strub and Republican Nick May. Both are running for a four-year term.
Running for borough council are Republican Rob Ciervo, Republican Aaron May, Democrat Kim Reno and Democrat Frank Tarquinio. The four candidates are running for three seats on the council for a four-year term.
The election is on November 7, with the polls open from 7 a.m. and closing at 8 p.m.
