'Warrior engineers' from DV place first in invitational

Teams were from Delaware Valley High School and Dingman Delaware Middle School placed first in the third annual Warrior Engineering Invitational held June 3 at DVHS. Fourteen middle and high school teams from seven schools competed in designing and constructing a water filtration system from materials such as gravel, charcoal, straw, cups, and buckets. The judges and sponsors were Gene Ruzanski from Schoehangel and Schoenagel, Jeff Rosalsky from the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC), Jolie Defeis from Air Soil Water, and Ethan Mindrebo from McGoey, Hauser & Edsall Consulting.
