LTS Builders announces annual scholarship winners

EAST STROUDSBURG - The LTS Builders/Sidlosky Scholarship program set new records this year in both the dollar amount awarded and number of recipients, as six students divided a total of $8,000 in scholarship funds. An extra $250 was given to each qualified applicant as a “jump start” on their book costs. “The field of qualified students has grown, and we’re pleased that our ability to reward these outstanding young people has grown as well,” commented LTS President and CEO Larry Simon as he congratulated this year’s recipients. This is the seventh year for the awards, and three of this year’s winners were previous recipients. The merit-based scholarships recognize both academic excellence and community involvement. They are given to the children of LTS employees in memory of long-time LTS employee Frank Sidlosky, a dedicated volunteer in youth sports and other youth-oriented community programs.
