Man charged in assault on a minor

MATAMORAS — On Feb. 29, the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department in co-operation with the Port Jervis Police Department arrested Alfredo Monge, of Matamoras. Monge, 56, was charged with one count of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, one count of Statutory Sexual Assault, and one count of Corruption of Minors, for incidents occurring over the last month involving a fourteen year old male. Monge is being held in Orange County Jail pending extradition back to Pennsylvania to answer the charges.
