Mike Meachem running for Pike County Prothonotary
MILFORD -The County is changing at a rapid pace and therefore is in need of an expanded vision of its elected offices and particularly those that directly and immediately impact the quality of everyday life. The Pike County Democratic Committee has recruited Michael Meachem, affectionately referred to as mikemeachem,’ husband and father, from Lehman Township and he has accepted their plea and consented to run for the Pike County Office of Prothonotary Pike Democrats look forward to the energy that Mike brings to the campaign for an office that is highly misunderstood. Meachem’s announcement statement stated, “Running a campaign to fill a row officer position held by a gubernatorial appointment Mike is looking forward to locating the pulse of the people and has dedicated his run to the equitable representation of all townships while placing a neglected and broader light upon the southern townships of the county who often feel disconnected. His focus is one of involvement, encouragement, and inclusion that, coupled with Pike County’s exponential growth will move us to our rightful place in the pecking order of Pennsylvania.” Meachem brings a wealth of organizational and management skills acquired from his near decade employment with a national retail chain and his adult experience in his family business from which he offered the following comments. “When a person finds themselves at the office of the Prothonotary, it’s already a tense situation, one which should not be aggravated by one-dimensional bureaucracy. “I see my run for this office as an opportunity to first and foremost return governance to the people. This is also a paramount opportunity to present to the public a truer and newer sense of public service and straight forward information. Most importantly I hope that my run will encourage others to seek Office’ when they feel they have been forgotten. Advances are long overdue, and the time for the Office of the Prothonotary to receive a makeover has come,” Meachem said.
