Milford's ‘Cabin Fever' winners announced

Milford — Six lucky winners have been awarded prizes in the Milford Business Council’s second annual Cabin Fever Giveaway drawing. The winning tickets were drawn on Feb. 12 at Hare Hollow, one of several shops in Milford where customers could enter the free drawing. “I think people were very excited to enter, and the prize packages offered something for everyone”, said Hare Hollow’s Kelly Wilson, who spearheaded the give-away. Out of the several hundred tickets collected from the tri-state area, the lucky grand prize winner was Charlie Kalenowski of Smallwood, N.Y. He won more than $300 in gift certificates and an overnight stay at the Laurel Villa. The second prize package of $150 in gift certificates from various businesses and restaurants went to Pat Brown of Milford and third place winnings of $120 worth of gift certificates and offers from nearly a dozen businesses went to Vaughne Hansen of Matamoras. There were three consolation prizes of gift certificates from Lightseeds yoga and Moon Gravel Arts. They went to Dianne Wengert of Montague, N.J., and to Milford residents Ellen Hussey and Marie More. Other gift certificates came from Denim or Lace, Fretta’s, American Living, Carol Ann’s Linen Closet, Hare Hollow, Wells Ferry Emporium, The Craft Show, Firefly Toy Shop. Forest Hall Antiques, Dimmick Inn and Patina.
