Milford Mayor Bo Fean said the apparent increase in police calls in the first quarter of this year may just be a bookkeeping querk. “We went to a new police software reporting system in November of 2009. The new system breaks complaints out differently than the old system. We cannot, therefore, pinpoint the reasons for the increase. As we go forward, we will be able to more accurately track complaints by specifics,” he said. The lighter bar represents 2009 and the taller darker bars are this year’s figures.
