One pint at a time

The Health Occupation Students of America are working to save lives, one pint of blood at a time. High school students Heather Titus, Katie Sladicka, Rachael Pierson, and Tara DeBlock have been involved in both community and school blood-drive efforts since September 2007. HOSA has presented information on the importance of blood donation to elementary students, civic groups, school faculty, and has participated in blood drives at Belle Reeve and DVHS. Their next endeavor will be at the American Legion building on Christian Hill Road in Milford, on March 12 from 12 to 6 p.m. (Photo by Kathryn Braisted)
