Pa'Nosh in the Park n an evening at the new Cliff Park

MILFORD Stephanie Ann Brown, Cliff Park’s new innkeeper, welcomed her guests with great panache at this Pa’Nosh in the Park. The Niki Jones Agency, Cliff Park’s PR and marketing/advertising agency, helped organize the event to introduce Brown to various members of the community. Guests enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views of the golf course and the pristine National Park lands. Cliff Park is located inside the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and partners with the National Parks Service. Guests enjoyed the Stoli bar, martinis in mini-martini glasses; chocolate martinis, peach martinis, apple martinis, raspberry, and many others lined up for the taking. There was also a plethora of hot and cold canapés, all created by French Chef, Christian Pierrel. Chef Pierrel outdid himself with platters of salmon mousse, glazed duck, sushi, and Beluga caviar, coming one after the other. There were imported cheese platters of Bucheron and Camembert, as well as other fruit and cheeses. Christian Pierrel comes from the Burgundy region of France and has worked in the culinary field in the U.S. for more than 30 years. He is the former owner of the Ile de France restaurant in Goshen, N.Y., and has quite a loyal following here in Pike County. Pierrel takes his culinary art very seriously and is assembling a culinary team which will serve a variety of food types including American cuisine, French cuisine, and specialty game grown locally, such as duck, rabbit, quail, and venison. The restaurant will also be using locally grown vegetables. Stephanie Ann Brown, hails originally from a small town in western Kentucky and, though she has spent many years in New York City, she’s found herself enchanted with the area and with Cliff Park in particular. She has been coming to the inn as a guest and a golfer for many years to escape the city and now she has the opportunity to make it accessible for others to play golf, walk the trails, fish in the lake, or just sit and relax in a rocker on the grand porch of the inn. Brown says that she has some surprises in store. She plans to have many special events and to hopefully bring back the cross country ski trails, as well as encourage the community to enjoy the golf course and walking trails. During the summer the DV high school team practiced on the golf course as did locals from the area camps. Cliff Park Inn and Golf Course was voted one of “America’s Top 10 Romantic Inns, “ by American Historic Inns and IloveInns.com. Stephanie Ann Brown has a great thing going and if she has anything to say about it, she will only enhance it.
