Pike builders install officers

HAWLEY - The Pike County Builders Association held their 2006 Officers Installation Dinner on Feb. 14 at the Laurel Ridge Restaurant in Hawley. The Pennsylvania Builders Association President Brad Elliott inducted the 2006 county association President, Coulby Dunn owner of Mountain View Homes located on Rt 507 in Greentown, since 1978. Dunn has been attending state association Leadership Conferences and Pennsylvania Builders Association meetings and the National Association of Home Builders International Builders Show, served as Vice President and on the Board of Directors of the county association before becoming President. Elliott then went on to induct the following 2006 officers: First Vice President, Bob Pierce of Davis R Chant Realtors, Second Vice President, Pete Helms of Joy-Beck Builders Inc., Treasurer, Bill Zernhelt of Sussex Bank and Secretary, Ken Winters of Eastern Propane Corp. The following were inducted as the 2006 Board of Directors; Bob Tauss- Regent Homes, Len Crescimanno of Cresci Construction, Glenn Strys of Lords Valley Builders, Greg Vannatta of Vannatta Builders & Realty, Billie Quadlin of Mountain View Realty Bill Murray of Wayne Bank, and Wendell Barnes of Dirlam Brothers/Narrowsburg Lumber. An award of Excellence was presented to Mike McCarthy owner of The Cabinet Shop for his outstanding work as President of the County association in 2005. Now in its 28th year, the Pike County Builders Association says the reason to choose their members is contractor quality. According to their statement, the association stresses “ Contractor Quality Commitment” and is an organization that accepts only builders who meet the criteria set in place by the local and national organizations. “Members made the commitment to provide the consumer only the best in products and services. They recognize the need to give something back to the community where they live and do business.
