Pike County Public Library announces board of directors changes
MILFORD The Pike County Public Library (PCPL) Board of Directors on Tuesday announced that Charlie Eible, who was appointed to the Board by the Pike County Commissioners in 2005, has resigned from the Board where he served as President. Maleyne Syracuse of Westfall Township was elected President of the Board to succeed Eible. In a related move, the Pike County Commissioners appointed Dave Farrington of Shohola to the PCPL Board for the duration of Mr. Eible’s term, which runs until December. Syracuse, who also serves as Chair of the PCPL Building Task Force, received an AB with Honors from Brown University and an M.B.A. with Honors from New York University. In addition to her leadership role in the effort to build a new central library for Pike County, she also servces as President of the Board of Directors of Peters Valley Craft Center, a not-for-profit arts education center located in Peters Valley, NJ. After more than 25 years as an investment banker, Ms. Syracuse retired in May 2007, from her position as a Managing Director with JP Morgan. Mr. Farrington, who holds a B.A. and M.B.A from Columbia University, is a partner with SolutionPro EnergySmart Building. His professional memberships and affiliations include the Pike County Home Builders Association, the Pennsylvania Builders Association, the Pike Country Chamber of Commerce, the Sustainable Building Industry Council and the U.S. Green Building Council. Farrington currently serves as the Chair of the Pike County Industrial and Commercial Development Authority, and as well as Board Secretary of the Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y. He is also a member of the Hospital’s Audit and Compliance Committee.
