Eva Cattes, manager at the Milford Diner is pictured Wednesday with some of the more than 1,000 petition signatures which diner patrons recently provided, calling for the state Public Utilities Commission to re-examine a 73-percent electric rate increase that Pike County Power and Light instituted in January. The commission reportedly has agreed to take another look at the rate approval, but has not agreed to the local public hearing which officials have hoped for. (Photo by David Hulse)
