Pink for a purpose

Dingmans Ferry During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Picture Perfect Beauty Salon has been raising funds for breast cancer research. It has offered clients a chance to show their support by receiving a semi-permanent pink streak in their hair. Ten dollars of the $12 price will be donated in the clients’ names to the local chapter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The salon thought a pink streak was a great way to raise curiosity and awareness for the cause. People ask about the pink in client’s hair - a perfect way to start a conversation. The issue hits close to home for many people including owner, Jill Kully, whose mother is a breast cancer survivor. Breast cancer affects the lives of so many and finding a cure is an important mission.
