Police probing theft of collector guitars

    Dingman — State police are investigating the burglary and theft of seven guitars from an Ash Lane home in the Pocono Woodland Lakes development. No value estimates were given by police, but an Internet search found estimated total values of $20,000 or more. Discovered last weekend, the burglary was said to have occurred sometime between Jan. 27 and Feb. 19. Police said a door knob on a rear garage door was forced to gain entry. Stolen guitars included: a Yamaha LP400, sunburst in color; a Hamer Artist, natural in color; a Hamer Studio, sunburst in color; a Taylor Baby, natural color; a Yamaha SG200, dark brown in color; a Godin Exit22, mahogany in color; and a Peavey Patriot, white in color. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 570-226-5718.
