Port Jervis woman charged with prostitution after soliciting a cop

    PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — City police on July 11 charged a Port Jervis woman with prostitution after she solicited an off-duty police officer. Christina M. Dante, age 38, of 116 Hammond Street, Port Jervis, was arrested on July 11, at about 12:40 PM, by Port Jervis City Police on Fowler Street and charged with Prostitution, a misdemeanor. The arrest was made after an off duty Port Jervis Police detective was approached by a civilian complaining about a female soliciting sexual acts from bystanders on Ball Street awaiting the Fireman’s Day Parade. Police stated that the off duty detective notified a uniformed patrol and then approached the female, identified as Christina M. Boyce, who made an offer to the detective to perform an unspecified sex act in exchange for United States currency. Boyce was taken into custody by the detective on Fowler Street and subsequently charged and released pending further court action.
