Rangers recover body from Dingmans Creek

BUSHKILL-Rangers and technical rescue specialists at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area have recovered the body of a woman from Dingmans Creek, upstream from Dingmans Falls. National Park Service, New Jersey State Forest, and New Jersey State Park employees were involved in the recovery effort.?The park dispatch center was notified of the incident by the Pike County 911 Center at 7:33 a.m. on July 5. Pike County received the initial report from two fishermen who spotted a body submerged in the water.?Investigation to determine the victim’s identification and cause of death is underway by the National Park Service and the Pike County Coroner.?Additional information will be made available as it becomes known.
