Really big truck at Milford Chrysler
MILFORD Tugging their parents past the Dodges, Suzukis, and Jeeps, local children came in droves to line up for their turn to ride the mud-splattered “Raminator” around the grounds of Milford Chrysler last Saturday, Oct. 20. The Raminator, one of two monster trucks displayed on the dealership’s lawn, is present about twice every year, accompanied by a Dodge merchandise truck. There was no ride fee; rather, a percentage of the merchandise sales, as well as funds from a nearby food stand, were donated to the Pike County Sheriff Department’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program. After Saturday’s event, a total of $456 was raised. According to the Chrysler Sales staff, well over $10,000 is given back to the community each year, through similar events and sponsorships. Professional driver and four-time national champion Mark Hall, who travels with the Raminator, and Mike King, Milford Chrysler general manager, agreed on the day’s purpose. “This is just our way to give back to the community,” they said.
