WESTFALL - The Delaware Valley High School Scholastic Bowl team is off to Washington. The team closed out a perfect 9-0 season recently with a win over Pleasant Valley in the final match to repeat as league champions. Delaware Valley won every round en route to a 415-170 win. The team opened the evening by finishing out its undefeated regular season with wins over Middletown and Wallenpaupack. The win over Middletown was their closest match of the year, winning by only 40 points, but when they faced Middletown again in the semifinal playoff, Delaware Valley scored a much more convincing 340-200 win to advance to the finals. With its second straight league championship completed, the Scholastic Bowl team now looks forward to the National Academic Championship to be held in early June in Washington, D.C.
