School names four to new force

DIngman —Four current and former police officers were appointed to serve as the new Delaware Valley School District Police last Thursday. Westfall Police Chief Mark Moglia will be leaving that post to serve the supervisory officer position with an annual salary of $56,000. Christopher Burns is a three-year former Westfall officer who is salaried at $40,000. Moglia, who serves year-round and Burns, on a 10-month appointment, will be responsible for the Westfall campus, although Moglia is expected to frequent all three campuses. Scott Siegfried is a 10-year veteran of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and will be responsible for security at the Dingman-Delaware campus. He is salaried at $38,000 and has a 10-month appointment. Santiago is a former New York City Police Department, Traffic Division officer, who will be responsible for the Shohola campus. His 10-month appointment is also salaried at $38,000. Pending the anticipated approvals for the new force by Judge Joseph Kameen, the officers are expected to begin work on Nov. 12.
