DINGMANS FERRY - Michael Prignon of Troop 5 in Dingmans Ferry recently completed his eagle project at Praise and Mercy Fellowship. This eagle project marks the second one for the troop this year. His project was to clear a section of land, build a fence, and install two picnic tables. Marilyn Herbert, pastor of Praise and Mercy Fellowship, was thrilled that the congregation will now have a place to hold outdoor activities. “The fence ensures that our little ones will not be able to run into the road.” Michael presented his idea to the local eagle board and once it was approved, set his plan into motion. Thirty scouts, friends and helpers pitched in to make the day a success. Mike Lucasik from Spectrum Fencing donated half of the materials needed for the fencing portion of the project. Lucasik also donated his time to help erect the fence. The mulch that the boys put down after clearing the space was donated by A-l Tree Service of Hawley. The mulch is environmentally friendly because it has no chemicals in it. Michael’s uncle, Brigadier General Genaro Dellarocco donated most of the funds necessary to complete the project. He has supported Michael’s scouting endeavors for many years. The Fellowship is very thankful for Troop 5’s wonderful contribution to the church and community.
