Seminar details radon-resistant green energy

    MILFORD — The Pike County Builders (PCBA) in conjunction with Rutgers University, DEP and Home Aire are hosting a seminar at the Laurel Villa Inn in Milford on June 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The seminar topic is radon resistant new construction and the Green Energy Star building movement. This is a four-hour program designed for builders, sub contractors, code inspectors and engineers. The seminar is designed to provide a better understanding of the market benefits of radon-resistant new construction installation and how to properly install the systems. Explore the current green building efforts by the US Green Building Council Program and the National Association of Home Builders Green Home Building Guidelines, as well as the Indoor Air Package (IAP) offered by the US EPA’s Energy Star Program. The cost is $25 per person and includes a continental breakfast and carries four continuing education units for builders and construction code officials.
