MILFORD — Members of the Milford Business Council are excited to announce the introduction of the “Shop Milford” campaign, coming on Nov. 21. “Shop Milford” encourages residents and tourists alike to buy local products and resources and specifically highlights the shops and local color of Milford. In addition, selected businesses will be offering recycled canvas tote bags with the “I Love Milford” logo on the bag. The tote can be reused, therefore reducing the amount of plastic and paper bags used and wasted. Look for the “Shop Milford” decals in the windows of participating businesses. Buying local supports our unique stores and community and reduces the costs and environmental impacts of travelling to shop. Local shops offer better value, customer service and a more diverse range of product choices. “During these difficult economic times, make a difference by considering where and how you shop”, says Milford Business Council member Lisa Bingham. “Invest in your community by shopping locally this holiday season and explore what Milford has to offer.”
