By visiting the PennDOT District 4 website at www.neparoads.com, motorists may sign up for the popular free email alert service which delivers traffic, weather-related and construction alerts. Subscribers may select the interstate or county in District 4 which interests them most. The same options are also available in the text-messaging format. Click More News and Media and follow instructions to sign up. These services complement the electronic message boards and Highway Advisory Radio which help motorists avoid congested, crash- or weather-affected areas. The Interstate winter road condition hotline is 1-888-783-6783 for in-state callers and 717-783-5186 for out-of-state callers.
