DELAWARE TOWNSHIP — State Rep. John Siptroth, D-Monroe/Pike, will host a senior fair in Pike County next month. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at the Delaware Township Municipal Building, 116 Wilson Hill Road. The fair will provide local seniors an opportunity to meet with their state representative and to receive information on valuable state programs like the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program and prescription assistance. The Transportation Department’s PennMobile will also be on-site to offer state driver and vehicle services. Admission is free for the event. Door prizes will be available and free refreshments will be provided by Failte!, Cliffpark Inn, Forklift Café, Dingmans Ferry Bed and Breakfast, Silverlake Tavern and others. Siptroth said that the very successful Senior Fair he co-hosts with Rep. Mike Carroll will be held this year at the West End Fairgrounds in August. More information regarding that event will be distributed this summer. For more information, residents should contact Lorraine Gramlich in Siptroth’s office at 570-223-2636.
