Abington Comets fall to Delaware Valley Warriors in field hockey

— Delaware Valley High School defeated Abington Heights High School (Clarks Summit, Pa.) in varsity field hockey on Monday, Sept. 18.
The final score was 5-1. DV hosted the game.
The Abington Heights Comets lit up the scoreboard first when Shaelyn Kobrynich scored with an assist from Arla Davis in the first period at 13:28.
The Delaware Valley Warriors responded with Morgan Johns scoring goals twice in the first period at 4:20 and 3 on the clock. Eileen Nikles and Brenna Cavallaro, respectively, assisted on the Johns shots. With 56 seconds left in the first period Kara Gearhart scored a goal with an assist from Addy Ross for Delaware Valley.
During the 30-minute second period, Morgan Johns pulled off a hat trick by scoring her third goal at 28:40 with an assist from Kara Gearhart. Addy Ross scored a goal at 4:30 on the time clock with an assist from Kara Gearhart for Delaware Valley.
