Deadline is near to file for deer management

    HARRISBURG - Eligible property owners interested in participating in the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Deer Management Assistance Program must file applications by July 1. The program is designed to help landowners manage deer on their properties. This application is for the 2006-07 hunting seasons and should be mailed to the appropriate Region Office. Applications must be postmarked or hand delivered to the Game Commission by July 1. A map outlining the property boundaries must be enclosed with the application. Applications are available from the Game Commission’s Web site (www.pgc.state.pa.us) in the “Quick Clicks” box in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage by clicking on “Deer Program” and then choosing “DMAP landowner applications” in the DMAP box. Applications also can be obtained from any Game Commission Region Office or the Harrisburg headquarters.
