Delaware Valley has a blow-out win in home debut
WESTFALL - The stands were packed on the clear and cool Friday night as the Warriors played their first home game on Friday, Sept. 8. Delaware Valley won 42-7. Taking on East Stroudsburg South, they were coming off their first game and win of the season, beating East Stroudsburg North 49-21 last week. The first quarter ended in a 7-7 tie, but the Warriors pulled ahead on the first possession of the second quarter when Billy Poore scored a second touchdown, which was followed by the third of six completed extra points by Bill Davidson. Ian Sumner brought the score to 21-7 after running in a pass from Josh Navitsky. Kenny Domzalski ran for two more touchdowns before the closing of the first half. Poore scored the Warriors’ final touchdown only a few minutes into the third quarter winning in a footrace to a loose football, which was rolling towards the endzone. The Warriors will next head up against Pocono Mountain East tonight at 7:00 p.m.
