Delaware Valley boys’ volleyball regular season has come to an end for home games. I am looking forward to playoff games to follow.

The season ended in very impressive form. Delaware Valley swept Hazelton in three straight games on May 8. Not just a sweep but a sweep in domination fashion. The scores per set were 25-8, 25-12, and 25-17. Hazelton improved as the games advanced, but the outcome was never really in doubt.

Here are the unofficial individual totals: Chris U’Glay was his usual impressive self, with 11 kills and 11 aces when serving. Gino Gualandi had five kills and an ace. Tommy Parker had five kills and three blocks.

Aidan Papula had a kill and a block. I had to give Papula and Parker a 1/2 block because both had a hand on the ball causing the block so 1/2 for both. Luke Peereboom had two kills, and an ace. Demetrius Anc scored four kills and finally Ritesh Patel had two kills and an ace.

This was a mighty effort and a spectacular performance by the entire team.

They have already proven that they can compete and even defeat any team in the state. All they have to do is play to their full potential and bring home titles to the community, making their mark on Delaware Valley history.
