DV defeats North Pocono in homecoming game

Westfall. Running back Josh Balcarcel rushed for 149 yards and scored 3 touchdowns for Delaware Valley. He was also crowned Homecoming King at halftime.

Delaware Valley High School (Westfall Township) defeated North Pocono High School (Covington Township) in varsity football on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The final score was 48-13. The homecoming game took place at Delaware Valley High School.

Running back Josh Balcarcel rushed for 149 yards and scored 3 touchdowns for Delaware Valley. He was also crowned Homecoming King at halftime. Jason Henderson scored two rushing touchdowns. Nicholas Barie scored one rushing touchdown. Quarterback Zach Scillia threw for 115 yards resulting in one touchdown pass completion. Wide receiver Jawon Foushee caught the touchdown pass thrown by Scillia.

North Pocono High School quarterback Michael Scutt threw one touchdown pass. Wide receiver Jonah Polishan caught the touchdown pass from Scutt. Running back Jacob Owens rushed for one touchdown.

Delaware Valley High School seniors Josh Balcarcel and Clorinda Petrillo were crowned Homecoming King and Queen at halftime.
