DV girls place third in cross country championship

MILFORD — The Delaware Valley Girls Cross Country team placed third overall in the District 2 Cross Country Championship meet was held Monday at Lakeland High School.
The following runners set a new personal record at the meet: Denali Hutzlemann, Sarah McDougall, Laina Bogusta, and Autumn Baker. Denali was the first DV finisher, placing fifth, and Vanessa Paolella placed sixth. Both Denali and Vanessa won district medals.
The Boys Cross Country team placed fourth overall at the District meet. The following runners set a new personal record: Jared Krick, Jon Roe, Sean Rinkel, Mustafa M., and John Festa. Jared Krick was the first DV finisher and placed sixth, and Jon Roe placed ninth. Both Jared and Jon won district medals.
Denali, Vanessa, and Jared qualified for the PIAA State Championship meet in Hershey on Nov. 5.
