Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa., recognized several local students among the more than 200 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen during the spring sports season.
Timothy Volavka of Milford, a graduate of Delaware Valley High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in criminal justice. He played on the baseball team, which won 20 games this spring en route to earning a MAC Commonwealth playoff berth for the first time since the 2014 season. The team was led by senior Zac Edwards, the 2017 MAC Commonwealth batting champion.
Danielle Krick of Milford, another DV graduate, is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise science. She played on the women's tennis team, which turned in one of the program's best campaigns in recent memory, winning 14 matches. The team went undefeated against conference competition in the regular season, earned the top seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament, and fell by the slimmest of margins in the league's championship match. Joy Graeff was voted the MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year by her peers, while Marla Scacchitti earned second-team all-conference honors.
