Fish for Free Days is a great way for families to “catch” the fun of fishing.
They allow anyone, resident or non-resident, to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways on the designated days with no fishing license required.
Trout/salmon and Lake Erie permits are also not required. All other fishing regulations still apply.
Fish for Free Days in 2017 are on Sunday, May 28, and Tuesday, July 4 (Independence Day).
Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has a Fishing Tackle Loaner Program. For more information or to sponsor a program in your area, write the commission at P.O. Box 67000, Harrisburg, PA; or visit fishandboat.com.
