Kids' fishing derby on April 30

MILFORD — The Pike County Commissioners are holding their 20th annual fishing derby for children from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 30, at the Pike County Park (off Route 6, on Schocopee Road) in Milford.
Children under age 16 are eligible to participate. Only one fishing pole per child is allowed.

The turn for Schocopee Road is four miles west of Milford (see sign for Black Walnut Inn). After passing under I-84, take the next left turn and continue 2.5 miles. A left fork takes you to the park and the parking area on the left. Lily Pond is off to your right, and the Raptor Center is on the left below the dam.
There are five hiking trails at the park and a connector trail for a deeper hike into Delaware State Forest.
