Paige Padgett signs with US Military Academy

MILFORD — Senior runner Payton Padgett of the Delaware Valley cross country/track and field signed with the United States Military Academy – Division I.

She is the daughter of Michael and Paige Padgett of Millrift.

In 2012 and 2014, she was the MVP in track and field. In 2014 and 2015, she was the captain of the track and field team. In addition, she is the 1600m record holder in track and field. In 2014, she was the PIAA District 2 undefeated league champion in the 1600m event and was also a state qualifier in the same event. At the end of season she was recognized as a 1st team All-Regional selection.

In 2013, she was the MVP of the cross country team. In 2014, she was a part of the PIAA District 2 team champion.

This senior standout is also a member of the field hockey team, National Honor Society, Athletic Leadership Council, orchestra, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America.

She also volunteers for the United Way and Area P Special Olympics.

She plans on majoring in chemistry and running cross country, indoor track and field and spring track and field at the United States Military Academy.
