PROTECT & DEFEND 5K RUN/WALK TO BENEFIT DICKSON AND DOUGLASS FUNDS

Members of Lackawanna College Police Academy Class 218 have started planning the Lackawanna College Police Academy Protect & Defend 5K Run/Walk to benefit Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. Bryon Dickson and Tpr. Alex Douglass Funds. Dickson was killed and Douglass serious wounded in an ambush at the Blooming Grove State Police barracks in September 2014. The run/walk will take place on Sunday, May 24, at the Greater Scranton YMCA, 706 N. Blakely St., Dunmore. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the run will start at 9:30 a.m. Registration for the event is now live at https://runsignup.com/protectdefend5k.
