Save the date: 2016 Tri-State Classic Race to be held Sept. 18

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Calling all runners!
Dust off your running shoes and get ready for the much-anticipated 21st annual Tri-State Classic Race on Sunday, Sept. 18.
Enjoy the run down the Delaware River and back along the Neversink River through Laurel Grove Cemetery. Running or walking past many of Port Jervis's local historical landmarks adds interest to the race.
This year's event will feature a 5K and a 10K race. Both races begin on Jersey Avenue in Port Jervis and end at Riverside Park.
Online registration and payment are recommended. If you would like a paper application, please email the Tri-State Chamber of Commerce office (5 South Broome St., P.O. What: Tri-State Classic, 5K and 10K races
When: Sunday Sept. 18, 2016, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. (5K race begins 8:30 a.m.; 10K race begins 9 a.m.)
Where: From corner of Fowler Street and Jersey Avenue in Port Jervis to Riverside Park (corner of King and 4th streets in Port Jervis)
Entry fee: Pre-registration fee, $28; race day fee, $35 (race day registration 7:15-8:15 a.m.). Fee covers race participation and lunch for one; the first 200 pre-registered runners also get a commemorative T-shirt. Sign up additional teammates for a $2 discount per person.
