Scranton spoils Warriors last hurrah
WESTFALL - With a 21 point deficit at the final buzzer, it was hard to imagine that Delaware Valley was in the lead the entire first half of their Feb 13 game against Scranton. The last home game of the season ended in a 42-63 defeat for the Warriors and broke their three game winning streak. The Scranton Knights emerged from the first quarter trailing the Warriors, 13-10. The score tightened at the end of the first half with the Warriors holding on to a one point lead at 24-23. The game took a drastic turn for the worse for Delaware Valley in the third quarter as Scranton amassed an eleven point lead., 33-44. Richie Hearon contributed four points in the last quarter of the game while Rocky Tice sunk his first basket. The Warriors ended the season with an overall record of 9-15.
