Smith leads Delaware Valley in win over Coughlin

— Delaware Valley High School (Milford) defeated James M. Coughlin High School (Wilkes-Barre) in boys varsity basketball on Dec. 20.
The final score was 51-38.
The Delaware Valley Warriors and the Coughlin Crusaders kept the score tight for three periods. Delaware Valley led 36-31 with 1:05 left to play in the third period. In the fourth period Delaware Valley stepped up its game and pulled away to seal the winning deal.
Tyler Smith was Delaware Valley's leading scorer, contributing 14 points. Blake Gearhart scored 13 points for Delaware Valley. Shane Acoveno scored 11 points, Zach Klapak scored 8 points, and Dylan Kelly scored five points for Delaware Valley.
Coughlin's Charles Cobbs was the game's leading scorer, contributing 17 points. Dominigue Flippen scored 9 points for Coughlin.
The game took place at Delaware Valley High School.
