Stephanie Marcucci signs with Worcester Polytechnic Institute

DINGMANS FERRY — Delaware Valley Senior swimmer Stephanie Marcucci signed with Worcester Polytechnic Institute – Division III.

She is the daughter of Michael and Georgeanne Marcucci of Dingmans Ferry.

At Delaware Valley, she swam the 100 breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 200 IM (medley relay). She was a varsity captain on the swimming team and a two-time district champion in the 100 breaststroke and a state qualifier in the same event. She broke the district record in the 200 medley relay and was recognized as an Academic All-American. In addition, she was on the Scranton Times All-Region team.

This senior standout is also a member of the varsity softball team. Furthermore, she is a member of the Engineering Club and competed at the Kane Physics competition where her team placed first. She also volunteers for Relay for Life.

She plans on majoring in biomedical engineering in college.
