WESTFALL - The Warriors suffered their loss on Nov. 4, to the North Pocono Trojans, by an agonizingly 21-20 margin. The game came down to a single blocked kick in the third quarter. Richie Hearon scored DV’s first touchdown about five minutes into the game which tied the scored at 7-7. The Warriors pulled ahead when Kenny Domzalski scored a touchdown just minutes after Hearon. The 14-7 score lead the team through half-time. The Warriors seemed confident of another win as the third quarter began and the gap did indeed widen after Jeff Briggs snagged the third touchdown pass of the game. Though the extra point was blocked, no one foresaw the difference it would make considering the score was 20-7 at that point. Sure enough, the Trojans scored twice more, pulling ahead of DV by one point. The Warriors enter the district playoffs in Scranton on Nov. 11 with an 8-2 regular season record.
