MILFORD – Ready for a change of season? The Laurel Villa Country Inn & Restaurant in Milford will host “Spring Fling”, a tasting of five imported and domestic red and white wines on Friday, Apr. 27 at 6:30 p.m. “We’re saluting the arrival of spring with five delicious wines that may be new to our guests,” says Janice Halsted, Innkeeper at the Laurel Villa. “It’s totally casual, so guests can relax after their work week as they learn about and enjoy these unusual selections.” Guests will savor whites including Covey Run Gewurtztraminer from Columbia Valley, Washington, Rosemont Sauvignon Blanc from Australia and “7 Heavenly Chards” from Michael David Wines in Sonoma. The reds include Fuedo Arancia Merlot from Sicily and Byron Estate Pinot Noir from Santa Maria Valley, Calif. Each wine will be presented and discussed by John Foley of Capital Wines & Spirits. Chef Carl will create a selection of international hors d’oeuvres to accompany each wine, and guests who choose to stay for dinner will receive 15% off their entree. “We’ve already had office groups call to book the event together,” says Halsted. “It’s a great way to begin the weekend.” Seating for “Spring Fling” is limited and reservations, at $30 per person, should be made by Sunday, Apr. 22. For reservations and more information, call the Laurel Villa at 570-296-9940. The Laurel Villa, www.laurelvilla.com, is located at Second & Ann Streets in Milford.
