State okays lower gas rates for PCL&P

    HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission has approved a gas cost recovery rate for Pike County Light & Power Co. (PCL&P). The Commission voted 5-0 to approve the gas cost rate decrease of $5.2176 per thousand cubic feet (49 percent). The average annual bill for a residential customer using 112 Mcf per year will decrease $584.37. The new rate became effective on Sept. 1.
