State police at Blooming Grove

    • Police are seeking the person or persons who entered a house under construction on Moon Valley Road in Milford Township on the evening of Dec. 12 or 13 and stole three furnace circulator pumps, five copper valves for boiler system and one Vortech seperator for the pumps. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call state police at 570-226-5718. • On Dec. 20 at 3:52 p.m., state police investigated a two car at the intersection of Route 402 and Blooming Grove Road. Police said Rafael Blyakher, of Lords Valley was westbound in a 2005 Lexus on Blooming Grove Road and failed to stop at the intersection, where he struck a 2004 International, driven by Keven Ruhrbach of Allentown. Neither Blyakher, Ruhrbach nor the single passenger in both vehicles were injured. • Police said a Virginia man was severely injured in a one-car accident on eastbound I-84 in Blooming Grove at 12:10 p.m. on Dec. 22. Police said a driver Norman W. Strange of Harrisburg, VA swerved and lost control of his vehicle near the 36 mile marker. The vehicle rolled and skidded on the berm approximately 125 feet. Strange was described as severely injured, but no subsequent information was available. Strange’s passenger Norma Phillips, also of Harrisburg suffered only minor injuries in the accident.
