State police say Milford fire was arson

Westfall and Milford firefighters are pictured Saturday morning as they extinguished a fire that destroyed the remains of unfinished employee quarters near the Bon Secours Hospital offices on U.S. Route 6/209. A state police fire marshal determined the fire was arson and police issued a description of a late-90’s blue Chevy S-10 pickup seen “fleeing from the scene” just prior to the 8:17 a.m. fire alarm. The framed, but unfinished structure was untouched for some years. A companion structure adjoining it was destroyed by another fire several years ago. No injuries were reported as Milford firefighters were assisted by six Pa. and N.J. fire departments. (Photo by Nick Troiano)
