WESTFALL - Delaware Valley High School participates annually in the Regional Scholastic Art Awards Competition held at Marywood University. Sponsored by The Scranton Times, this competition brings in participation from junior and senior high school students in four area counties of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Over 1,100 pieces are submitted to the competition. Entries were selected by art teachers as the best work by their students and submitted for regional judging. The final decision is made by a panel of judges consisting of art educators and art professionals who select the best 200 works to be entered into the show. All works in the show earn a Certificate of Merit. Entries earning a Silver or Gold key award signify that they are the stronger pieces in the show. This year 25 Certificates of Merit and 11 Silver keys were awarded for the works by Delaware Valley students. Silver Key winners are: Conor Moran, with two pieces, Dan Teague, Jessica Zeeb, Courtney Cox, Kaitlin Shoup, Colleen Green, and Ashley Lamac.
