Students surprise teacher with Insects'

WESTFALL n Sam Evers and Skyler Drew write that their fourth grade class at Delaware Valley Elementary School surprised teacher Judy Fitzpatrick with an insect quilt. Friedrichs was the parent who helped them do the project. It took a lot of planning to make the insect quilt. In art, they drew insects and then Friedrichs made the insects of fabric. “That’s how the quilt was made. It turned out very beautiful! Our class didn’t know about the quilt until Mrs. Friedrichs and Mrs. Carla Brown showed it to us the day they asked us to write something about Mrs. Fitzpatrick for the covered-dish supper,” the kids wrote. Friedrichs also took the insect pictures students drew and turned them into a “field guide” book.
